United We Stand: A Collaborative Approach to Legacy Print Collections
Monday, 8:30 am – 9:45 am
Co-presented with the Academic Libraries Section

Collection analysis in one library is difficult enough, but how can this be achieved across multiple academic & public libraries – and the HathiTrust? The ground work for Maine Shared Collections Strategy (MSCS) objectives is laid through the analysis of legacy collections in eight partner libraries. We have experimented with several tools, have drawn on our history of collaboration and worked towards a common goal whilst performing collection analysis. The audience for the session will primarily be collection development and technical services librarians from both academic and public libraries. Presented by Maine Shared Collections Strategy (MSCS) Program Manager Matthew Revitt and Principal Investigator Deborah Rollins Head, Collection Services at the University of Maine.
